I visited the Japanese style hotel named 窶・span lang=EN-US>Taisho Roman Kyotoya窶・span lang=EN-US> in Saga prefecture to perform taiko. This performance was consisted of Kagura dance, shinobue, shime taiko and miya taiko. I played miya taiko in the afternoon on 17th. The live performance with Kagura dance was my first experience. But I played well because I had plenty of time to discuss each role in advance. The houseguests who saw our performance enjoyed much, so they took a lot of photos with us after performance.
August 3rd to 6th, 2016 To summer festival in Tohoku area
May 19th to 27th, 2016 To southern Africa
I went to southern Africa to visit Victoria Falls, which at 108m high, the biggest and the highest water fall in the world. The weather was fine every day. For this trip I planned to walk around Victoria Falls, drive in Chobe National Park, go on a cruise to see fur seals native penguins and the sunset at Chobe and and Zabezi river; visit the Cape of Good Hope and climbe to the top of the Table Mountain by cable-car. Victoria Falls is located near the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. When we go through immigration these two countries, we have to pay a tax. Victoria Falls has a lot of water spray, while the trail near the Falls there was so much water spray, it felt like it was raining. Even though I had heard that there is a lot of water spray u was still very surprised. The journey took about 24 hours from Kansai Airport, so I was tired, but I was so happy. The hotels and food were so good.

We saw five or six groups perform then we practiced. This was followed by an opportunity for us to quena and I got the lecture of the rhythm of forklore. I had a meaningful time.|

January 27th to February 5th, 2016 To Bolivia
Our nine day trip to Bolivia which is the place of origin of Folklore music ended before we knew it. The Uyuni Lake become more popular, during the dry season because the lake has a little water so we can walk in it . There are hexagen -shaped salt crystals. In the rainy season there is more water and so that the view around the lake side is reflected on the surface of the water. It is very mysterious. The capital of Bolivia is Lapaz. It has the highest elevated airport in the world and naturally the oxygen there is thinner which sometimes makes it difficult for visitors to breathe.
